Terms and Conditions

This website is an initiative of Chrysostomos (Charis) Doukas (hereinafter the “Administrator”), with contact details ask@conference.gr, for the purpose of shaping ideas and strengthening citizen participation in the vision for the future of the progressive movement.
Access to and use of the website implies unreserved acceptance of these Terms of Use.

1. Disclaimer of Liability

Reasonable efforts are made to ensure that the website provides a secure environment and valid, reliable and up-to-date information. However, each user remains solely responsible for assessing the accuracy and suitability of the content.

The Administrator reserves the right to modify and/or suspend, temporarily or permanently, the operation of all or part of the website, without notice. The Administrator bears no liability for any damages arising from inability to access, interruption, delay, loss of content or errors.

The user acknowledges that communications over open networks entail risks and bears responsibility for taking appropriate technical protection measures.

2. Third-Party Websites

The website may include hyperlinks to third-party websites or applications. The Administrator is not responsible for their content or practices and bears no liability for any damages arising from their use.

3. Collection of Signatures – Nature of the Declaration

Through the website, users are given the opportunity to declare their support for this initiative by electronically entering their details and submitting a declaration of participation (hereinafter “signature”).

The signature constitutes a declaration of personal will and is exclusively participatory in character. It does not constitute the conclusion of a contract, nor does it produce any legal effect vis-à-vis third parties, nor does it create an obligation to register with any body or organisation, unless expressly stated otherwise.

Each user signs solely on their own behalf. Submitting a signature on behalf of a third party is prohibited.

Submission of a signature is permitted only to persons over eighteen (18) years of age.

By submitting a signature, the user solemnly declares that the details they enter are true, accurate and relate to themselves.

4. Rules of Participation – Validity of Signatures

Each natural person is entitled to submit one (1) signature.

The multiple submission of signatures, the use of false or misleading details, as well as any form of automated entry, are prohibited.

The Administrator reserves the right, at their sole discretion, to review, verify, reject or delete signatures, particularly in cases of multiple or invalid entries, abusive use or violation of these Terms.

The Administrator bears no liability for any failure to register or for the deletion of a signature.

5. Character of the Initiative

The website and the collection of signatures fall within the framework of a social and political initiative.

Participation is voluntary and non-commercial in character.

Submission of a signature entails no financial obligation, nor does it create any relationship of mandate, dependency or representation.

6. Intellectual and Industrial Property

All content on the website constitutes the intellectual property of Chrysostomos (Charis) Doukas, unless expressly stated otherwise. Any reproduction or exploitation for commercial purposes without prior written permission is prohibited.

7. Personal Data Protection Policy

The processing of personal data is carried out on the basis of the EU and national regulatory framework on personal data protection, specifically Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”), the relevant case law of the CJEU, Law 4624/2019, as well as the acts (Decisions, Guidelines and Opinions) of the European Data Protection Board and the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (“HDPA”). For specific information regarding the collection and further processing of users’ personal data by the Company, the user may refer to the Personal Data Processing Information Notice, which has been posted on this website.

8. User Obligations

Users are obliged to use the website in accordance with the law, good morals and these Terms. In particular, they are obliged:

  • not to infringe the rights of third parties,
  • not to submit false or misleading details,
  • not to attempt multiple entries,
  • not to interfere with the signature collection process,
  • not to introduce malicious software,
  • not to use the website for purposes unrelated to the stated character of the initiative.

In the event of a violation, the Administrator may restrict or terminate the user’s access.

9. Use and Utilisation of Signatures

The Administrator reserves the right to make use of the overall outcome of the signature collection (indicatively: number of participants, statistical data, conclusions) for the promotion and support of the initiative.

No guarantee is provided that the collection of signatures will lead to any particular outcome.

10. Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by Greek law. Every effort will be made to resolve any dispute amicably.

11. Amendment of Terms

The Administrator reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Users will be asked to accept the updated Terms anew.
